If your just looking for a place to start exploring HRV and how it can become part of your personal practice, I’d suggest you spend some time at EliteHRV website.  EliteHRV is a free app and it’s the app I use most of the time to track my personal HRV numbers.  You’ll need a heart rate monitor too.  You can get the CorSense device from EliteHRV or you can use a Polar H7 or H10.  If you’re adding technology to your personal fitness plan, I’d recommend the H10.  You can use the H10 for both HRV and heart rate training using the Polar Beat app.  It’s free too!

24/48 hour Individual Study

bodyguardAn individual study can help to get a deep look at an athletes recovery status. There are few tools better than a 24 to 48 hour monitoring session. In the session you wear a device that records their heart rate and heart rate variability the entire time.

The device is then downloaded an the results are compiled in a report that we use to develop a plan for change.

The measurement process is easy! Your team measures every day at school.  Using a hand held heart rate monitor that communicates with software on an iPad, athletes take quick 3 minute measurements. The data is uploaded to the cloud and a diagnostic report will then be compiled/interpreted by our team of sports scientists and results of each athlete sent directly to the coaching staff daily.

Parent View/Consult

In the Level One Team Monitoring solution, all the communication is between Train Recover Win and the coach and trainer of the client team. If a parent would like to have more information and be able to communicate with the sport scientists at Train Recover Win, they can sign up for a consulting membership. Our staff would schedule calls up to twice a month to discuss your athletes’ status and what you can do to help optimize recovery.
