If you’re training for sport or fitness and you’re not using a heart rate monitor, you’re leaving potential on the table!  The cost of the ability to use high quality monitoring technology has come way down.  With a basic transmitter and a free app on your phone, you can have very good tracking data that gives you the ability to make much better training decisions.  Take the time to consider a heart rate transmitter.  I recommend the Polar  H7 or H10 and then use the Polar Beat app on your smart phone.  When you’re ready to really dig into monitoring take the time to understand the Polar Flow and Coach site.  All the software is free!
